  • Will the ceremony and reception be held at the same place?

    The entire evening will take place at the wedding venue.

  • Is the Wedding indoors or outdoors?

    A short ceremony will be held outdoors. Parasol umbrellas and fans are available and will be distributed to guests. Once our ceremony ends, the cocktail hour will commence with the reception to follow indoors.

  • Can I bring children?

    Please note this is an adults-only celebration.

  • Will there be transportation to and from the event?

    Shuttles will be provided to and from the event for hotel guests staying at The Elms who have booked under our rate.

    If you are a hotel guest, on the wedding day, two shuttles will depart from the Elms Hotel to the wedding venue at 2:45 PM and 3:00 PM. A return shuttle will follow after the couple's final remarks at the reception, and another shuttle will depart at the end of the after-party.

    You must book using our room block in order to utilize the transportation. This is the only way we can capture a headcount for how many people/the number of shuttles we will need.

  • What if I can't attend?

    Please let us know as soon as you are aware. This will help us tremendously with our planning efforts.

  • Can I bring a Plus One?

    If you have been permitted to bring a guest, your invitation will include your guest’s name. We would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family only. Thank you for understanding!

  • Dress Code

    We would love to see our family and friends look radiant for our big day! The dress code is FORMAL/BLACK-TIE, OPTIONAL. We ask men to wear a suit and tie and women to wear an evening gown or a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress. Click here for photo inspiration.

  • Will there be an open bar?

    Yes, there is a full open bar. The drinks are on us.

  • Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony and reception?

    In order to ensure we are fully present, we will have an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that you turn off/silence all phones during the ceremony. However, once the ceremony ends, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you like during cocktail hour and the reception!

  • Do you have a gift registry?

    Given that we have to travel to Kansas City from Michigan for the wedding, we kindly request no physical/boxed gifts. We don't have the room to transport them. Brandi is also a professional cook. We have every kitchen and home appliance we could ever want and/or need. Cash gifts are welcome and will be put towards our honeymoon. Click here to access the registry.   • Airport Information

    If you are traveling by air we recommend you fly into MCI, Kansas City International Airport.

  • Have you reserved a block of rooms at a hotel?

    Yes. 

    A block of rooms has been reserved for your convenience. Please book your rooms and mention the Crawford and Clayton wedding to receive the discounted rate by May 15th, 2025.

    Our wedding will be held in Richmond, Missouri, an hour outside of Kansas City. We strongly recommend staying at our chosen hotel, The Elms, which is 25 minutes away from the wedding venue. 


    If you are local to Kansas City, we strongly recommend a stay at this hotel for the night of the wedding. We want everyone to feel overjoyed and eager to celebrate us on our big day. We have made shuttle transportation arrangements to help keep you safe to help make an uninterrupted celebration possible.
